Nếu dung lượng RAM của máy tính không được dồi dào, bộ xử lý dù mạnh cũng không thể tăng tốc được. Phương án hay nhất trong trường hợp này là kích hoạt làm tươi, giải phóng dung lượng RAM đã cấp phát thừa hoặc sử dụng bất hợp lý… FreeRAM XP Pro là phần mềm điển hình giúp bạn thực hiện điều này.

Một số chức năng trong menu chính của FreeRAM XP Pro:

- Autofree: Tối ưu hóa bộ nhớ tự động, tự điều chỉnh cho cân bằng giữa tốc độ xử lý và bộ nhớ.

- Try to free: Giải phóng dung lượng bộ nhớ theo chỉ định của người dùng.

- Display a freeing results report…: Hiển thị thông tin kết quả khi thực thi xong lệnh giải phóng bộ nhớ.

- Memory-related information: Hiển thị 2 dạng thông tin về bộ nhớ đã được sử dụng gồm:

+ RAM: Cho biết dung lượng RAM đang được sử dụng là bao nhiêu MB, còn lại bao nhiêu.

+ LOAD: Hiển thị thông tin về bộ nhớ nói chung (gồm RAM và một phần dung lượng ổ cứng làm bộ nhớ ảo) đã được các chương trình sử dụng. Bạn để ý phần này, nên giải phóng bộ nhớ sao cho thông số dưới mức 50% để chương trình hoạt động hiệu quả.

- Go: Chức năng thực hiện lệnh giải phóng dung lượng bộ nhớ. Khi thấy dung lượng bộ nhớ bị giảm nhiều bạn ấn vào nút này.

Bạn có thể xem thêm các chức năng hoặc thay đổi những mặc định của FreeRAM XP Pro trong thẻ Settings như: Cho FreeRAM XP Pro khởi động cùng Windows; tự động giải phóng bộ nhớ theo thời gian; giải phóng bộ nhớ theo dung lượng được chỉ định; xóa phần lưu tạm trong clipboard; tắt máy nhanh…

Ngoài những chức năng chính vừa nêu, FreeRAM XP Pro còn cho phép bạn tăng dung lượng bộ nhớ đệm trên đĩa (disk cache), yêu cầu Windows “nhả” bớt các file DDL khi thấy những file này không còn tác dụng. Các thao tác này giúp cải thiện đáng kể sức mạnh và tốc độ của toàn hệ thống.

A graph complex is a finite family of graphs closed under deletion of edges. Graph complexes show up naturally in many different areas of mathematics, including commutative algebra, geometry, and knot theory. Identifying each graph with its edge set, one may view a graph complex as a simplicial complex and hence interpret it as a geometric object. This volume examines topological properties of graph complexes, focusing on homotopy type and homology.

Many of the proofs are based on Robin Forman’s discrete version of Morse theory. As a byproduct, this volume also provides a loosely defined toolbox for attacking problems in topological combinatorics via discrete Morse theory. (1) Click vào biễu tượng upload image, bạn sẽ thấy uploading box xuất hiện. Click ‘Browse’ để upload file, điền tiêu đề, và chú thích rồi click ‘Upload’.

(2) Sau khi đã upload hình xong, bạn cũng có thể click ‘Send to editor’ để chỉnh lại hình ảnh vừa upload.

(3) Hình ảnh đã ở tong message box. Bạn click ‘Publish’ để kết thúc việc post bài viết này

Tuy nhiên, khác với ImageChef, ngoài những hình ảnh được cung cấp sẵn để làm avatar với Two Pic, bạn có thể sử dụng những bức ảnh của chính bạn để làm avatar. Để làm được điều đó, bạn hãy truy cập website Two Pic, bấm nút Browse để tải ảnh lên từ máy tính. Chú ý là website chỉ hỗ trợ 3 định dạng ảnh: jpeg, gif và png. Bấm nút Buddy Icon để thêm hiệu ứng. Cuối cùng bấm vào nút Hocus Pocus! để tạo avatar. Bấm chuột phải lên avatar được tạo ra và chọn Save Picture As để tải avatar về máy.

Một điều nhắc nhở là ImageChef thì nên dùng để tạo ra những avatar dành cho blog bởi vì nó có khá nhiều mẫu đẹp. Bạn có nhìn thấy hình avatar của mình không. Chúc bạn làm được những avatar thật độc đáo.

Còn với Two Pic thì bạn nên dùng để tạo ra nhưng avatar dành riêng cho Yahoo Messenger thôi. Bởi vì size của avatar tạo ra nhỏ lắm. Nhưng bù vào đó bạn có thể upload ảnh của riêng mình lên. Chắc chắn là bạn sẽ tạo được nhưng avatar cực cool và không đụng hàng với bất kỳ ai.

Easily Render Realistic Scenes
mental ray® 3.5 rendering software adds powerful rendering functionality to 3ds Max 9. Create photorealistic skies based on the position of the sun with Physical Sun and Sky mental ray shader. New Architectural and Design shaders make it easier for designers and architects to create effects such as blurred reflections, frosted glass, and glossy car paint. mental ray 3.5 Core
mental ray 3.5 adds a simplified user interface for working with Final Gather. It also has a unified indirect lighting model that provides consistent results when switching between different 3ds Max radiosity modes.

Layered Animation
Placing animation into separate layers enables you to easily tweak dense and complex animations. Turn layers on or off to evaluate an animation. Blend new keys with existing motion. And allow for a full range of adjustments without having to modify the keyframes of the animated object.

Character Animation Workflow Improvements
Craft and refine your character animation more easily with numerous enhancements to Biped. For example, move keys past each other and work in negative frames. These capabilities save steps when tweaking a Biped animation and are particularly useful when trying to reverse an animation, since you can now negatively scale an animation range.

Pro Booleans
Pro Booleans is a new tool for modeling with Boolean operations. Quickly and easily model inorganic shapes—useful for prototyping geometry, creating game level layout designs, and building complex architectural elements. Merge, intersect, subtract, or add meshes to create rich and complex objects. Use the Pro Booleans tool to re-evaluate the topology and remove bad triangles, so you can create higher-quality meshes with fewer small edges and skinny triangles.

Hair and Cloth Improvements
Easily work with Cloth and Hair in 3ds Max 9. Create, manipulate, and style hair directly in the viewports using standard navigation and selection tools. Cinch waistlines, shorten hems, and tailor clothing in the stack without the need to edit the original pattern to make clothes fit.

Xref Object Enhancements
You can now reference scene geometry, materials, and controllers, and maintain dependencies between items that are externally referenced. The xref system’s new dependency handling enables you to preview object relationships in both merge and xref operations, providing more control over how external objects are used.

Enhanced FBX Support
The Autodesk® FBX® 3D authoring and interchange format enables you to exchange assets between 3D applications. FBX Enhancements include improvements to mesh compatibility and pixel accuracy when transferring assets and data between 3ds Max and Autodesk® Maya® software.

Display Support for DirectX and CG Shaders
Support for all shader types is now available via MaxScript, including HLSL and Cg shaders: enabling you to work with CgFX files alongside .fx files in the viewport. Shader display has also been optimized for improved performance.
